My name is Amy
I am the founder and sole creator behind Mermaid Escapade! Apparently if you ask other people, in my 30’s, I am in my grandma era. I love sewing, crocheting, making tutus, and even origami! I live in California with my wife, Tiffany, and all our animals. We both work from home and that is what gives me the flexibility to create all the time! I taught myself how to sew (minus middle school home economics) about 6 years ago and then during the pandemic taught myself how to crochet.
Remember you can learn almost anything with YouTube University! When my wife and I got married, I was determined to make all the decorations myself because I’m cheap like that. Not only did I make my own center pieces, but I was also able to make all my own bouquets, a custom beaded belt, and a memorial lantern for my late father. Starting this business has been such a blessing to me. I love sharing my creations with you!
